My questions are:

1. How are Spiritualists different to other people?

2. What different types of Spiritualists are there and what do they do?

3. How are they thought of by their friends, family, themselves, and random strangers?

4. How is a Spiritualists sense of belonging different to mine? Why?

Key Ideas

1. Spiritualists have been brought up with a different religion, culture and attitude toward life than other people.

2. There are many different types of spiritualists that are all very similar but also very different.

3. Most people that dont know spiritualists think of them as scary or wrong for various reasons.

4. A spiritualists sense of belonging is different to mine because they have had different experiences.

Spiritualism - dictionary definition:

The belief that the spirits of the dead can communicate with the living through a person particularly susceptible to their influence.
Spiritualism is a philosophy, not a religion.
Spiritualists can sometimes be known as the following but there are definite differences that define one from another.
Empaths - a person that feels other peoples thoughts and emotions as their own.
Clairvoyants - people with supernatural power of seeing objects or actions removed in space or time from natural viewing.
Psychics - a person apparently responsive to psychic forces and capable of extraordinary mental processes, such as extrasensory perception and mental telepathy.
Mediums - a person through whom the spirits of the dead are supposed to be able to contact the living.
